#1 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin

Stone Cold was the poster boy of the attitude era and broke the record for merchandise sales. A number of prominent industry figures, including McMahon, have declared Austin to be the biggest star in WWF/WWE history and stressed that he overtook the popularity of Hulk Hogan. A 6-time WWE Champion and the only three-time winner of the Royal Rumble event, Stone Cold is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in WWE history.
Austin headlined Wrestlemanias 14, 15 and 17. His rivalry with The Rock is considered to be among the greatest rivalries ever. He was unfortunately forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2003 due to a series of knee injuries and a serious neck injury. One is left wonder how much success he would have achieved if his career was never cut short. Throughout the rest of 2003 and 2004, he was featured as the Co-General Manager and Sheriff of Raw.
When the sound of glass breaking hits, the roof will almost get blown off in whichever arena he will return to this Monday night. A legends battle royal is being speculated to take place on this special edition of Raw. You can expect Austin to toss everyone out and win the match if that happens.
