WWE's shows in Saudi Arabia have been known to bring back many legends for one more run inside the squared circle. Starting last year in April, we have got three editions of these events so far, and the fourth one is all set to take place on October 31 and will be again called Crown Jewel.
The last three shows here have seen some huge names make their return to the ring, like Shawn Michaels, Goldberg, Kane, etc, thanks to the requests of the Saudi Royals, and it won't be any different for the fourth show.
In this article, let's take a look at the five superstars who might return at the next Saudi Arabia show. Feel free to share your thoughts and views in the comments section below.
#5 Big Show
Arguably, one of the most popular and successful big men in the history of sports entertainment, Big Show has been a huge part of the WWE Programming for many years. Keeping in mind the casual audience of the Middle East, a return of the Big Show could help the company sell more tickets for Crown Jewel.
There are many opponents that Big Show can lock horns with and put over. Someone like Samoa Joe or Cesaro could benefit a lot with a match against the big man and allow them to get a win under their belts, something they desperately need.
#4 Kane
The Big Red Monster, Kane last appeared on WWE TV last year at Crown Jewel, teaming up with The Undertaker to take on a returning Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
Currently, he is being advertised for the house shows on 23rd and 24th August, with one of them being a match against the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. Cageside Seats have also reported that these appearances next week could be in anticipation for his return at the Crown Jewel show in October.
A great opponent for the Devil's Favorite Demon would be the new face of fear - the Fiend. A feud between two larger than life characters in Kane and Bray Wyatt could prove to be a blockbuster and will give the Fiend a huge victory.
As long as these legends return to put over younger talent, no one would complain.
#3 Goldberg
Many thought that Goldberg was done after his loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. He even entered the Hall of Fame the very next year. But all that turned out to be incorrect, as he returned to the ring earlier this year to face The Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown (also in Saudi Arabia).
If that was not enough, he made another return at SummerSlam to destroy Dolph Ziggler in a fun little match. Interestingly, there was one superstar in NXT who took many shots on him.-Matt Riddle. The build-up between the Original Bro and the former World Heavyweight Champion has been too good to not conclude with a match, and there are many chances that it might take place soon. Maybe at the next Saudi show?
#2 The Undertaker
The Undertaker was a mainstay of WrestleMania for many years, and now the same could be said about Saudi Arabia shows. The Phenom has appeared and wrestled in all three WWE PPVs in the Middle East till date, and there are huge chances that Vince will call him back once more this October.
The Deadman last appeared on WWE TV at Extreme Rules in a tag-team match with Roman Reigns and impressed both fans and critics with his amazing performance at the show. WWE also teased a singles match between Taker and Drew McIntyre, and the Scottish Psychopath might turn out to be his next opponent.
Who do you think can the Undertaker face this time?
#1 Edge
One of the most shocking moments of WWE SummerSlam 2019 took place during the pre-show when Hall of Famer Edge made his way to the ring to deliver a vicious spear to Elias. No one was expecting the Rated-R Superstar to pull off this stunt, especially due to his medical condition that forced him to retire.
Edge dropped yet another bomb on the E&C Podcast when he announced that he could do a match anytime, but the WWE Medical Team would not allow him to do so. Such a bold statement is a clear indication that there's a slightest of possibilities that we might get to see him back in the ring once again - even if for just one match.
It's a well-known fact that Saudi shows are easy money for wrestlers of the status of Edge, who can sell tickets just with their names on the match card. Even superstars like Shawn Michaels came out of retirement for Crown Jewel, so never say never.
If it comes to his opponent, the clear first choice would be the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins. Edge got into a heated Twitter battle with Seth's girlfriend and the RAW Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, even dragging the Beastslayer into the mix.
There's also a possibility of a mix-match tag-team match with Edge and Beth Phoenix taking on The Man and her man (sorry for that pun). This would protect Edge and give him only a few spots and bumps.
