Kevin Owens main evented last year's Clash of Champions
Clash of Champions 2016 took place back in September, which means that Kevin Owens walked into the event as the Universal Champion less than a month after Triple H had helped him to win the Championship in the fatal four-way match on Raw.

Seth Rollins was the superstar who was on the receiving end that day, which allowed the two men to battle in the main event of the first-ever WWE Clash of Champions, with Owens coming out on top. This year, Owens is set for the main event for the second time as he teams with his longtime friend Sami Zayn against Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton with both Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon as the special guest referees.
It seems that this year's main event has many more combustible elements than last years.
