The 31st annual Survivor Series event takes place next Sunday Night live from The Toyota Centre in Houston, Texas.
Over the past three decades, a lot of history has been made at this event, which is the second longest running WWE pay-per-view in the company's history, behind only WrestleMania that was established all the way back in 1985.
Survivor Series has always been one of the most anticipated pay-per-views of the year, with bragging rights annually on the line at the event and only the best wrestlers able to come out on top.
This year is no different, but for the first time in history, WWE will pit Champion against Champion throughout the show and up to the main event, which will see WWE Champion AJ Styles set up to the challenge of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

#5 The Money In The Bank contract has only been cashed in once
Despite the fact that Survivor Series has been an annual show for three decades, and the Money in the Bank briefcase came into circulation back in 2005, it seems that over the past 12 years the contract has only been cashed in at the event just once.
In one of the biggest shocks of the night back in 2015, Sheamus made his way to the ring following the match between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and managed to quickly dethrone 'The Big Dog' with a Brogue Kick., Sheamus won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that night, a title that he lost back to Reigns just a few weeks later.
Considering Carmella still has her Money in the Bank contract in her possession, could she decide to make history by becoming the second person to cash in their breifcase at the event?
#4 Lita's retirement record
Lita is a former four-time Women's Champion and a current WWE Hall of Famer, but when she announced her intention to retire from WWE back in 2006, it seems that the company didn't give her the best of farewell presents.
Lita managed to make history at Survivor Series back in 2006 when she became the first person to lose five times at the event without a single victory. She lost her Women's Championship that night to Mickie James and followed in Trish Stratus' footsteps after the seven-time Women's Champion decided to walk away from the company two months prior to the event.
Trish won the Women's Championship in her final match at Unforgiven earlier that year, but Lita wasn't afforded the same luxury and remains the only person in history to lose five matches at the event without chalking up a single win.
Shawn Michaels' final match at Survivor Series took place back in 2009 where he lost his 10th match at the event, HBK did win a number of matches at the event though, whilst Lita was never able to win a match.

#3 The ECW Championship has only been defended once
The ECW Championship isn't considered to be the most memorable of titles in WWE history, but there was the odd occasion when the company decided to defend the Championship as part of the main roster.
Back in 2007, the ECW Championship was defended the one and only time at Survivor Series when CM Punk retained the Championship in a triple threat match against John Morrison and The Miz. A decade later, it's interesting that The Miz is the only star who was involved in the match to remain contracted to WWE and he walks into the event as the Intercontinental Champion.
The Universal Championship is the only current main roster men's singles Championship that is still yet to be defended at the event after Kevin Owens was involved in the traditional elimination match last year and the Championship isn't on the line this year.
#2 Shortest Divas Championship match on pay-per-view
The Divas Championship never had a flattering record on WWE TV and it seems that Survivor Series back in 2014 bared witness the shortest Divas Championship match to ever take place on pay-per-view.
The match lasted just 33 seconds as Nikki Bella challenged AJ Lee for the title with her sister at ringside. Brie Bella stayed on the ring apron and decided to kiss AJ Lee as the bell rang before her sister delivered a forearm followed by the three count.
Of course, The Bella Twins were also involved in the shortest Divas Championship match in history on an episode of Monday Night Raw when the duo were in a triple threat match along with Layla. The match lasted less than 10 seconds and was Nikki and Brie's final match with WWE before they quit back in 2012.
#1 Sole Surviving Snake
Randy Orton has been a survivor at Survivor Series more times than any other person in WWE history. Back in 2003, 2004 and 2005, The Viper was consecutively the sole survivor for his team, he was then one of the survivors alongside Cody Rhodes back in 2008 and alongside Bray Wyatt last year when the duo secured the win for SmackDown Live.
Orton has missed a number of elimination matches over the past few years but still manages to retain the record for being a survivor more times than anyone else in history.
Orton has already won the right to be on the Survivor Series team for SmackDown Live once again this year after he defeated Sami Zayn a few weeks ago and it will be interesting to see if he can continue his record at the event.
Orton's three consecutive wins for his team as the sole survivor can only be matched by The Ultimate Warrior, but no one aside from The Viper has ever been able to survive the elimination match five times.
