The Miz was heavily pushed over the next 12 months and was featured in the WWE title match at WrestleMania 27. He defeated John Cena to retain the WWE title with some help from The Rock.
The Miz was involved in a huge multi-man match at WrestleMania 28. An Interbrand 12-Man Tag Team match pitted Team Johnny (David Otunga, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, and The Miz) with Team Teddy (Booker T, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Santino Marella, The Great Khali, and Zack Ryder). In the end, the villains picked up the win and The Miz's streak continued unscathed.
At WrestleMania 29, The Miz defeated Wade Barrett by submission to win the Intercontinental title in a dark match. A year later, The Miz would lose the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, bringing an end his streak.
