It is pretty clear at this point in time that Rey Mysterio is coming to the very end of his WWE run and it will be sooner rather than later that he passes on his mask to someone who deserves it. At Extreme Rules 2020, we could see the first step in this grand process, where he sets the stage for his son Dominik Mysterio's debut.

There is probably nobody that Rey Mysterio wants to pass on his mask to, than his own son Dominik, who has been a constant feature on WWE television over the past few months as we head into Extreme Rules. Could Rey Mysterio have his final hurrah at SummerSlam where his own son Dominik retires him in his first big debut match?

Dominik could always make his debut against Seth Rollins, but obviously, Rey Mysterio is a far better competitor for the said role.

But for this dream WWE match to happen, Dominik needs to betray his father at Extreme Rules 2020.
