Braun Strowman has been booked really well for someone who falls in the same list as Lesner. The fact that his Money In The Bank contract was shown no significance for the upcoming Championship match, raises concerns.

As Strowman keeps on producing rooftop audience responses, there's no motivation behind why he shouldn't be Universal Champion sooner rather than later, if not at SummerSlam. So putting the Universal title on a demonstrated draw in Strowman is a coherent move that would both tackle the Lesnar problem and guarantee Raw's best boss is somebody who fans need to see holding the title.

While the Kevin Owens match poses a few problems, it's quite stated already that someone like Braun Strowman doesn't necessarily need a contract to settle old odds with Roman Reigns. That is, if supposedly Reigns is the next Champion.
