WWE has been building some top rivalries heading into 2025. However, many superstars may be on the verge of quitting the company.
The various storylines on RAW and SmackDown have been pushing several superstars to the top of the roster. However, the frequent screen time has also created some problems for them.
Many superstars could quit as part of certain storylines in 2025 to make things more interesting. It can add a different dimension to their characters and also give them a short break from the ring.
Check out the five major superstars who could quit WWE in 2025.
#5. Kofi Kingston's mother disapproved of his actions
New Day has transformed itself to become one of the most hated teams in WWE with a single segment. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have taken their case forward without looking back even as fans have continued to boo them.
The latest edition of RAW saw Kofi Kingston’s mother appear in the arena to watch her son live. However, she too was disgusted by her son’s comments towards Wade Barrett, Big E, and the crowd.
Her actions could force Kingston to rethink his heel turn and possibly quit WWE. He could do so as part of a storyline after pretending to be deeply hurt by his mother’s and fans’ actions.
Kofi could then return with an even more heelish attitude later in 2025 to get back at fans and possibly go on a wild villainous run.
#4. Xavier Woods' has the fans to blame for his shortcomings
Much like Kofi Kingston of New Day, Xavier Woods could also find himself in a position to quit WWE. However, his reasons for doing so could be different.
He could continue to gain heat by claiming that the company gave a quitter like Big E a world title run while never allowing him the same. He could also point out that he has entertained fans tirelessly, only to get booed by them.
The heel could then quit the company in 2025 to get back at his critics and haters. He could also return later on with a new attitude very different from his usual New Day character. That could push him to the top of the roster for some time.
#3. Kevin Owens could leave after failing to defeat WWE's poster boy
WWE fans are already aware of what Kevin Owens is capable of. His heel turn has proven why he deserves to remain in the top card and get multiple championship matches.
Kevin Owens currently holds the Winged Eagle title unofficially. He took it away from Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event after injuring the real champion.
The two will likely have a rematch where Owens could lose the contest. This could cause him to vent his frustration at The American Nightmare, Triple H, and the fans. Following the loss, he could leave WWE in 2025 to take a break from the ring.
He could return at the 2025 Royal Rumble to attack a deserving star to take his spot in the match and reach the final four in the contest or even go on to win it for a WrestleMania main event spot.
#2. Seth Rollins could do the unthinkable
Seth Rollins is spiraling into madness once again as his rivalry with CM Punk progresses. The two top stars will compete in the first match of their current rivalry on RAW’s Netflix premiere.
Fans could see them go all out, resulting in a loss for Seth Rollins. They could have another match down the road at a big PLE where CM Punk could come out on top once again.
The results could force Seth to quit WWE as part of the storyline. He could remain on the sidelines for some time before returning at the 2025 Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber to attack and eliminate Punk from one of the contests and turning full heel to take the rivalry into WrestleMania 41.
#1. Liv Morgan could be forced to leave WWE
The rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan has been going ahead as one of the top feuds in WWE. The two stars will likely compete for the Women’s World Championship at the upcoming RAW premiere on Netflix.
Following the contest, fans could see the two stars continue their rivalry for a bit longer, resulting in an ‘I Quit’ match at Royal Rumble 2025. The Women's World Champion could end up losing the contest and be forced to leave the company in the process.
The result will give Liv Morgan some time off from the ring after leading the RAW women’s roster for nearly the entire year. She could return post-WrestleMania to attack the reigning Women’s World Champion at the time.
