#2 Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens (WWE Championship)

What a match this could be.
What a match this could be.

Kevin Owens returned on Smackdown to replace Kofi Kingston as Daniel Bryan's opponent at Fastlane. It seemed like an extremely heelish move from the former NXT Champion, but he is being positioned as a babyface. This is a first for Owens, since his debut night at NXT Takeover R: Evolution. This is being heavily positioned as the main event of the entire pay-per-view and there may be a fair reason for it. This will be the first-ever one-on-one meeting between Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens inside a WWE ring.

Aside from Daniel Bryan's return tag team match at WrestleMania 34, these two have not wrestled together in the WWE. They were never there at the same time. But now they are here, the dynamic has completely changed from what we would expect a Bryan vs Owens match to look like. Heel Bryan vs face Owens is as unlikely a scenario there is in the WWE, but it surely is interesting. Expect a really good wrestling match from these two master craftsmen.
