WWE Saturday Night’s Event is set to take place on January 25, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. It will follow last year’s show which saw Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens headline the event.

The American Nightmare retained his Undisputed WWE Championship at the show. Meanwhile, Gunther retained his World Heavyweight Champion against Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

The upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event could see some top names headline the show. It will help the company in delivering top content across all broadcast partners.

With that said, check out the five matches that could potentially headline WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this month.

#5. Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch is on the cards

Rhea Ripley regained the Women’s World Championship on WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere. The Nightmare defeated Liv Morgan to win back the title.

Many WWE fans expected Becky Lynch to return during the show. However, Triple H held back The Man’s return to the screen.

Next week’s episode of RAW on Netflix could see Lynch return to spoil Ripley’s championship celebration. The two women could reignite their rivalry heading into this month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The match could headline the show as it will feature two of WWE’s biggest female stars. The contest would also be a good start for their rivalry.

#3. The rematch between CM Punk and Seth Rollins

CM Punk and Seth Rollins headlined the debut episode of RAW on Netflix. The two men deserved the main event spot as they left everything in the ring with their excellent performance.

Punk won the contest to get Rollins even more bitter. The former WWE Champion could turn heel on the upcoming episode of RAW and potentially attack The Best in the World.

That could see their rivalry continue with another main event match on a big show. This time, the two stars could take the top spot in the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event.

#3. Roman Reigns could get back at Kevin Owens

Another non-title feud that could take the top spot on the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event could see Roman Reigns face Kevin Owens.

The rivalry between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens has gone on and off for nearly five years. The latest RAW on Netflix premiere saw KO attack The Tribal Chief and nearly cost him the match.

The upcoming shows of RAW and SmackDown could see Reigns call out Owens and get into a rivalry with him. The Prizefighter could continue his rivalry with Cody Rhodes for Royal Rumble while facing The OTC at Saturday Night’s Main Event for his second consecutive headlining match on the show.

#2. Tiffany Stratton and Bianca Belair could face off for a WWE Women’s Championship match

Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on the first episode of SmackDown in 2025. She did so to defeat Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship.

The big win will give Tiffany the chance to build her Tiffy Time gimmick. She has achieved a lot since signing with WWE. Bianca Belair’s KOD was instrumental in helping Stratton score the win. The EST could make her intentions clear to challenge Tiffany for the title on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

Triple H could book a headlining match between Tiffany Stratton and Bianca Belair for Saturday Night’s Main Event. A win at the show would cement Tiffany as a top star on SmackDown.

#1. Gunther and CM Punk could write the first chapter of their rivalry

Gunther was one of the biggest stars who appeared on last year’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The World Heavyweight Champion missed out on RAW’s Netflix debut.

Triple H could push him forward in the upcoming episodes of RAW to book him in a title feud for Saturday Night’s Main Event in January 2025. CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins on Monday, and the two could dance for the title.

Gunther could defeat Punk to retain the title thanks to an interference by Seth Rollins. It would allow Triple H to continue the feud between CM Punk and Seth Rollins heading towards WrestleMania 41.
