Back in 2016, WWE held the first ever WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament. It had many notable excellent performers, with the stand out arguably being Cedric Alexander.

The now former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander was not only the standout of the CWC, but ever since the debut of 205 Live that same year, he has also been the one to watch after SmackDown.

Now while he is arguably the greatest cruiserweight in the world today, Rey Mysterio is the greatest cruiserweight of all time. And that in my mind is simply enough reason for the two to have a match.

Both men are just so talented and as the best cruiserweight of today and the best cruiserweight of all time, they are very capable of putting on a match of the year candidate.
