The Elimination Chamber is the last Raw pay-per-view before WrestleMania 34 in the WWE. The clouds should be cleared then as to who will face whom at the 'The Grandest Stage of Them All.' We should not forget that seeds of rivalry between Baron Corbin and Dean Ambrose, and The Miz and John Cena were planted at the Elimination Chamber.
Though the championship is not at stake and it is more than likely that Roman Reigns will walk out as the winner, that doesn't mean the fans will not turn out to watch this event. This year with three men starting off and seven men in the mammoth steel structure, it just gets more interesting.
Here we look at the 5 such matches that could happen at Wrestlemania 34 and all of them beginning from the Elimination Chamber.
#5 Braun Strowman vs Seth Rollins
Let's get this straight. If there were anyone who had been benefited from the Gauntlet Match, then it was these two. While one displayed his splendid in-ring skills, the other continued to do what he does best - destroy everyone.
Rollins had pinned both Cena and Reigns clean on Monday night. If there is anyone who has the capability to pin Strowman clean (there is no way he would tap out), then it is Rollins. If that happens, expect Strowman to unleash his anger on him by giving him power-slam after power-slam and causing his elimination. While this may look similar to what Corbin did to Ambrose last year, it could well be worked out this year too.
Every year, almost all the results at WrestleMania have been predictable. The fact that they have never met each other in a one-on-one competition before makes it more unforeseeable.
#4 Elias vs John Cena
These two have teased a feud between them even before the Royal Rumble. While there are speculations that Undertaker would interfere which would eventually lead to a match between them at WrestleMania.
It is clear that as far as Cena's plans at WrestleMania are concerned, it has served a lot in the past. What is someone's loss might be someone's gain, as Elias could have a handful of experience by having a one-on-one match with the 16-time World Champion.
Expect Elias to retaliate after he is pinned by Cena or he pins Cena, as he would be fresh enough to do so. We expected this to be a filler feud of Cena before taking on The Undertaker. However, we won't mind if this turns out to be the movie.
#3 Braun Strowman vs The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere match for the Intercontinental Championship
The Miz is one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions and the title needs him more than he needs the title. However, can he give a masterpiece when the odds are completely stacked against him?
After their altercation at Raw, it is clear that Miz is extremely scared of Braun Strowman. It is also evident that the crowd loves when Strowman destroys Miz, and with the Miztourage along with him. The Elimination Chamber would only give fans more such overwhelming moments.
The Falls Count Anywhere stipulation is added so that the match can go inside the crowd for most of the time. However, it will make Braun Strowman a favorite to win the match. But, wait! Isn't that what everyone wants?
#2 The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship
With the original plan of Seth Rollins facing Dean Ambrose getting canceled, it has however given him a profusion of matches to have at WrestleMania. Finn Balor despite being with the Good Brothers doesn't have any grand options at WrestleMania.
This match has enough potential that it can main-event any other pay-per-view. However, given the standard of WrestleMania, it is more likely to go in the mid-card.
Both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor need a major push and a matchup between the Rollins, Balor and The Miz will be the perfect platform for all of them to shine.
#1 Braun Strowman vs John Cena
Braun Strowman has put over everyone who has come in his path including John Cena. However, can he do that at the grandest stage of all?
In Raw three weeks earlier, it was perceptible that the WWE Universe enjoys each and every time John Cena gets manhandled. At this moment, there is no one other than Braun Strowman who can do the job better.
In Elimination Camber 2009, it took a Codebreaker, 619 and a Spear to eliminate John Cena. He was that protected! With something similar happening to Strowman this year and Cena finally pinning him, expect Braun to be eliminated.
Do you think the 'Monster among Men' will let Cena go after that? There is absolutely no way and Cena will have to bear his vengeance. With this match happening at Wrestlemania, fans would forgive the creatives this time if they don't see Cena and Undertaker square-off.
