5 Matches We Might See at Wrestlemania if Seth Rollins Doesn't Get Cleared in Time

If the recent rumors are to be believed, luck doesn't really favor the Architect Seth Rollins whenever the Wrestlemania season comes around. Rollins was forced to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship and miss WrestleMania 32 after injuring his knee in November 2015. This time around, if the rumors of his injury are to be believed, Rollins might be out for a month or longer.

However, this could be a blessing for other superstars who might use this opportunity to have a career-defining moment. While fans hope that Rollins recovers in time for his match at WrestleMania, WWE must keep backup plans if he fails to do so. Here we look at 5 matches we might see if Rollins doesn't get cleared in time for Wrestlemania.

#5 Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar

Braun Strowman has been feuding with Brock Lesnar since Summerslam 2017 but is yet to defeat him.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Needless to say, if there is one man that should have beaten Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship a long time, it is the Monster among Men. Braun Strowman has had a heated rivalry with the Beast Incarnate since Summerslam 2017.

Despite being over with the fans, the creatives hesitated in pulling the trigger on Strowman and instead decided to protect Lesnar's credibility. Strowman was last scheduled to face Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the 2019 Royal Rumble but was written off from the match after it was rumored that he had not healed from his elbow injury.

Strowman has lost a lot of momentum in the past few months and he is not the one to be blamed. His lackluster feud with Baron Corbin and repeated losses against Brock Lesnar took away most of his credibility. At present, Strowman is again involved in a feud with McIntyre and Corbin.

#4 Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar

Just like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley has had successful stints in both professional wrestling and MMA.
Just like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley has had successful stints in both professional wrestling and MMA.

While Bobby Lashley's return had a horrible start, it finally seems that WWE decided to book him as a serious threat. Lashley's heel turn and his alliance with Lio Rush has done wonders for his character. Bobby Lashley recently won the Intercontinental Championship from Dean Ambrose and has been booked like a monster heel that he deserves to be.

Considering Lashley's physical stature, he is one of the most legit candidates of dethroning the Beast. Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley has been a dream match for many since past few years. Both of these wrestlers have outstanding achievements in both professional wrestling and MMA. However, the only reason why Lashley isn't any higher on the list is that both of these wrestlers are heels. At this point, it wouldn't seem very sensible to turn either of them face for this match. Hence we might have to wait longer to see this match go down.

#3 Finn Balor vs Brock Lesnar

Finn Balor recently faced Brock Lesnar at 2019 Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship in a losing effort.
Finn Balor recently faced Brock Lesnar at 2019 Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship in a losing effort.

Finn Balor recently produced one of his best performances at Royal Rumble 2019 when he brought the offense to the Beast himself. Balor had an incredible showing without his demon king persona. What makes a good replacement for Seth Rollins is the history that these two share. It was Rollins who injured Balor when he became the first ever Universal Champion forcing him to relinquish the title the very next night.

There could be no better plot than have Rollins pick Balor for the match, which would also set up an interesting feud between the two once Rollins returns from his injury. Finn Balor's work at 2019 Royal Rumble made many people believe that he is capable of beating Lesnar. WrestleMania 35 would be an ideal time to bring back the Demon King persona and slay the Beast for once and for all.

#2 Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar

WWE recently confirmed that Dean Ambrose won't be renewing his contract once it expires in April 2019.

If there is one wrestler whose name has been everywhere in the dirt sheets, it is the Lunatic Fringe. WWE recently confirmed that Dean Ambrose won't be renewing his contract once it expires in April 2019. This confirmation by WWE caught many people by surprise as WWE usually does not announce such things before they actually happen. This has led to many people believe that it could all be a work.

However, work or not, Ambrose can be a solid replacement for Rollins considering his tricky situation. If WWE really wishes to hold on to Ambrose, they might just offer him one of the biggest wins of his career. Dean Ambrose has a lot of history with Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns and this could set up an interesting match with the Beast where a remorseful Ambrose avenges his brother by slaying the Beast.

#1 Drew Mcintyre vs Brock Lesnar

Drew Mcintyre has shockingly found himself lost in the mid-card in the last few months.
Drew Mcintyre has shockingly found himself lost in the mid-card in the last few months.

The Scottish Psychopath is probably the sole person other than Seth Rollins himself who should have won the 2019 Royal Rumble to face the Beast, Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre has impressed everyone with his looks, aggression, and in-ring presence ever since he returned to the company in 2017.

Drew McIntyre has all the skill set required to be the next face of the company. He has made claims of dethroning the Beast before as well. Hence, it would not take much to book him against Lesnar despite being a heel.

Unlike others, McIntyre can easily win over the fans with his amazing in-ring work. While McIntyre has been having a rough time in the mid-card as of late, the creatives have been cautious enough to protect his credibility. McIntyre's unmatched aggression, strength, and athleticism are what put him over others as the number 1 choice to replace Seth Rollins.
