Kane and Lita were a WWE match made in hell

This storyline might just take the cake. Lita and Matt Hardy were a beloved couple in the early 2000s. The WWE Universe always loved Team Xtreme, even when the teammates went their separate ways. Many fans expected the young, rebellious couple to be together forever.

Unfortunately for Hardy, WWE had other plans. A certain Big Red Machine became infatuated with Lita after WWE WrestleMania XX. After his loss to The Undertaker, Kane was spurned by the former WWE Women's Champion. Needless to say, he didn't take it well. Eventually, he kidnapped her. It didn't take long for Hardy, Lita's boyfriend at the time, to come to Lita's rescue.

Shortly thereafter, Lita revealed that she was pregnant, and both men believed that tey were the father. At a certain point, Lita tried to trick Kane into attacking her and causing a miscarriage. In order to do so, she hoped to reveal the identity of the true father. At SummerSlam 2004, Kane and Hardy faced off in a "Till Death Do Us Part" Match.

Kane won the bout, so he gained the right to marry Lita. On August 23, the wedding ceremony was held on WWE RAW. Hardy attempted to interrupt proceedings, but he couldn't stop it. Due to the actions of Gene Snitsky, Lita eventually had a miscarriage.

But she was so hellbent on revenge that she wound up siding with Snitsky and Edge. It was hard to feel bad for Kane, though. The kidnapping and the other horrible implications made it much easier to root for Lita.
