At the 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Charlotte Flair will be competing not once but twice. There's always the chance that she comes up short in the Tag Team Championship match and then goes on to win the women's Royal Rumble match. But this will not be the ideal scenario because the Royal Rumble should be a device to build the next crop of talent.

At the 2021 Royal Rumble, someone like Bianca Belair should prove to the world that she's ready to hang with the big stars, or Alexa Bliss should cement her name in the history books with a major win, or even someone from NXT like Rhea Ripley should make her presence felt with a big win.
For Charlotte Flair to win would just feel like WWE is taking a step back. Again, not a knock at Charlotte Flair the person, but she'll have a great career regardless of whether or not she wins the 2021 Royal Rumble match.
