Even though both Sasha Banks and Bayley will defend their Championships against Asuka at SummerSlam 2020, WWE knows that the money feud is between the two of them. In fact, these two talented women have been sowing the seeds for a clash down the line on episodes of WWE RAW and SmackDown and if one of them loses her title at SummerSlam 2020, then the other is likely to become jealous and turn on her, starting a feud that could stretch out over months together.
Plus, for Asuka to lose two big matches at WWE SummerSlam 2020 would derail a lot of the momentum that she has going for her at the moment, even if it is through interference or foul play because the women's division over the past few months has only centered around Sasha Banks and Bayley. It's time for the other women in the WWE roster to get a taste of the spotlight and for Asuka to win a title at SummerSlam 2020 is a step in that direction.
