The WWE Chairman is no stranger to WWE Backlash. He has stepped into the ring at multiple events with the best wrestlers and taken some of the worst beatings in the history of the company.
However, two of his appearances at WWE Backlash remain rather significant. The first one came at WWE Backlash 2006. On that occasion, after taking a rather brutal beating at the hands of Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania, Vince McMahon was out for revenge.

He claimed that God had helped Michaels, and then in a moment of true insanity, booked a match between the teams of Shawn Michaels and God against himself and Shane McMahon. The Backlash event was rather unbelievable and they managed to defeat Michaels in one of the most ridiculous matches of all time.
The other match saw the team of himself, Shane McMahon, and Umaga, face Bobby Lashley in a 3-on-1 handicap match at the event. After losing to Donald Trump in the Battle of the Billionaires, he was out for revenge against Trump's chosen wrestler, Bobby Lashley.
Lashley was the ECW Champion, but the numbers game proved too much, and Vince McMahon became the ECW Champion by pinning Lashley. If these moments are not enough to prove anything can happen at the event, little else will.
