This is a feud that made no sense whatsoever.
After dominating the mid-card for nearly a whole year, Rusev started cultivating some friction with Lana. This angle did help Rusev get over as a heel but everything went on a downward spiral afterwards.
Fed up with Rusev, Lana would join hands with Dolph Ziggler to rebound from her breakup. Rusev, to counter this, brought in Summer Rae. Things got messy when Summer started to flirt with Ziggler. And then the bomb dropped; Lana released her engagement pictures on social media and WWE decided to melt down this storyline which was already a big mess.
We were left to deal with a worse ending to a bad feud, while Rusev and Lana earned nuclear backstage heat for their actions.
