Prior to Edge and Randy Orton being rivals, they were a confident and dangerous tag team on Monday Night Raw, known as Rated RKO.
They feuded with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who were running a muck on Raw as the revived D-Generation-X in 2006.

It led to one of the most shocking segments of the year, which saw Triple H and Shawn Michaels leave the arena in a bloody mess.
First, the team beat down 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels in the middle of the ring with a double RKO onto a steel chair, and then focused their attention on 'The Game' Triple H.
Rated RKO set Triple H up at the top of the announce table, as then commentators JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawler pleaded with them to stop and proceeded to give two ConChairTo's to the King of Kings.
Edge provided the first, and Randy Orton delivered the second, leaving Triple H with blood pouring from his head and his body shaking from the effects.
