We've read several stories of WWE Superstars changing the world of wrestling, here's an anecdote of how a wrestling fan managed to do the same.

Back in October 2012, a video of a 6-year-old Connor Michalek – who had been diagnosed with brain and spine cancer since the age of three – asking to meet Daniel Bryan went viral. The news reached WWE CEO Vince McMahon who guaranteed that Connor would eventually meet The Leader of the Yes Movement. Connor was able to meet Bryan on two occasions in 2012 and 2013.

Connor and his family were eventually to be a part of the WrestleMania XXX weekend after the company learned that he didn't have much time on his hands. Prior to the go-home episode of RAW, the company decided to put together a small segment for him.

Before the doors to the show were opened, members of the WWE roster surrounded the ring and cheered for Connor as he walked down the entrance ramp to the tune of his favorite wrestler Daniel Bryan. He then got into the ring, punched Triple H in the face, and pinned him for the win in what was a truly remarkable moment in WWE history.

Connor was the first person whom Daniel Bryan embraced after he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Show of Shows. Only a few days later, on 25th April 2014, Connor left the world aged eight.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon set up Connor's Cure later that year, a non-profit organization for pediatric cancer research. According to various reports, Connor's Cure had already raised a million dollars by 2016 and helped over 100 families in the process.
