The two former superstars that we mentioned were long since retired when they passed away, which is why this one hurts even more. Eddie Guerrero was in the prime of his life and the prime of his career when he passed away in late 2005, with the WWE locker room not quite knowing how to respond in the immediate aftermath.
The same could be said for the fans, with many of us not quite being ready to accept Eddie’s passing. The company did a wonderful tribute to a man who, to many, is regarded as a hero which is no understatement.
To this day we still sorely miss him, but we’ll always have that tribute show of Monday Night Raw to remember.
