#2 The Spotlight

We’re going to build off of the last point for this entry because it really does highlight professional wrestling’s ability to transcend certain demographics. For one night a year, whether it be for good or bad, the entire world is watching to see what WrestleMania is going to produce this time around.
The likes of ESPN do a brilliant job of covering Mania, and in turn, news outlets from every corner of the globe are always looking to get the latest wrestling scoop as we enter the early stages of April. Sure, it’s not great for the overall product if fans are just tuning in and out whenever they please, but the mainstream attention that WWE gets during Mania week can’t be a bad thing.
Plus, it does wonders for the economy of the host city.
