#1. Backstage reception of Roman Reigns' return
Roman Reigns' return to WWE just a few months after his tragic leukaemia announcement will undoubtedly go down as the most wholesome wrestling story in 2019. When he made the announcement, the general expectation was that he would return around early 2020.
Somehow, he managed to do it in a few months and naturally, the fans weren't the only people happy about it. There was a huge emotional reaction in the locker room and Nia Jax, in an interview with Mike Jones of DC 101, said:
Check out which wrestler EC3 finds cute RIGHT HERE
You know what, he has us all on edge and we were all waiting for what he had to say. Just seeing him around was amazing. It helped everybody and we were just so happy to hear that he was in remission. There wasn't a dry eye backstage, 100 percent. We were in all in happy tears just jumping up and down. Now we feel whole again because we were missing our Superman. Now he's back.
The reception for Roman Reigns considerably improved since then and he looks like he hasn't missed a beat. Good on Reigns for showing the world that he can overcome any obstacles thrown his way. He's a true locker room leader.
