#5 The Ultimate Warrior - Ending Honky Tonk's reign

The most iconic mystery opponent in a WWE ring ended an equally iconic Intercontinental title reign. The Honky Tonk Man had defined the IC title and had held the belt for a still-standing record 454 days, defending it against all comers.
Summerslam 88 was supposed to see Honky Tonk defend his title against Brutus Beefcake, only for the challenger to back out later. Honky Tonk had to defend his title against a mystery opponent at the show and his nemesis turned out to be none other than the Ultimate Warrior.
Warrior rushed to the ring and beat Honky Tonk in 27 seconds to end his title reign. It is debatable whether that was the best manner to end Honky Tonk's record reign - but it started the Warrior's rise to the top of the card.
He had a great rivalry with Rick Rude over the IC title, took out Andre the Giant and eventually defeated Hulk Hogan clean to win the WWE Championship.
