#4 Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy - WrestleMania 25
At WrestleMania 15, the brothers became enemies when Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy clashed in a grudge match that should be looked back on more favorably.
The story leading into the event was Matt's jealousy over his younger brother's title shot against Edge at the Royal Rumble. Matt turned on Jeff during the match, striking his sibling with a steel chair and costing him his chance of winning the company's top prize.
The turn broke up one of WWE's most successful and much-loved tag teams, but this was more than a sibling rivalry. Over the following weeks, Matt attacked and ridiculed Jeff about his past, causing him to snap and set up the Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania.
The match's build was brilliant. It played into the wrestling trope that one tag team partner will always be more successful than the other, and Matt and Jeff Hardy played their part to perfection.
Matt was the jealous brother afraid of being overlooked and overshadowed by Jeff, who played the flawed hero hesitant to his family. The feud cut deep and went personal, blurring the lines of wrestling and reality that brought the emotion to nuclear levels.
The match was a passionate, heated, and weapon-filled affair. Both Hardy's put themselves through hell as they tried to defeat one another with a multitude of death-defying acts and brutal furniture-assisted offense.
The Hardy Boyz went all out in this WrestleMania outing. They did what they did best and took things to the extreme. It was a clash that deserves to be held in higher regard by WWE.
