#3 Nakamura's low blow

The initial build of this match was fairly lacklustre in comparison to other programmes on the show, but the WWE Universe didn’t care about the backstory behind this match, and only wanted a 5-star classic that would be raved about for ages.
However, WWE chose to flip the script here, which caused them to make an odd decision. That decision saw them produce a fairly average match that felt incomplete. It had the narrative reign prevalent on a night where wrestling was the real focus.

And that narratively shocking moment was the sight of Shinsuke Nakamura turning heel after a low blow. This decision might annoy the masses but if WWE is booking this narrative in a long-term sense, then Styles and Nakamura didn’t need to tear the house down tonight but save their best for a blockbuster rematch down the line.
