Ever since Bobby Lashley returned to the WWE Universe, he's had a lacklustre run. While the matches have been good at times, the creative choices didn't suit him at all. Bobby Lashley was desperate for a match with Brock Lesnar but Vince McMahon seemed to have other plans.

Before you state that he's already booked in a match with Finn Balor, does anyone actually want to see that? WWE fans would rather Finn Balor's Demon character take on The Undertaker. Essentially, it would leave Bobby open for a match.
Heck, even the Intercontinental Championship need not be on the line. A week before WrestleMania 35, he could easily drop the belt on Monday Night Raw. Considering the recent treatment of the IC Title, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that might happen.
Like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley could bring his MMA skills into a match with John Cena. It would offer John Cena a very powerful opponent who could match him inside a WWE ring.
