5 new faces who should debut on RAW or SmackDown in 2019

Aleister Black's main roster debut has been long anticipated
Aleister Black's main roster debut has been long anticipated

On the RAW after TLC, Triple H mentioned a line about how we're going to see new faces and new match-ups. Then, a surprising set of superstars from NXT were announced as the next main roster call-ups.

The superstars coming up are Lars Sullivan (who we already knew about), Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, EC3 and Nikki Cross (who technically already made her debut).

Don't get us wrong, these are definitely an interesting set of call-ups. EC3 is the kind of superstar who's been main roster ready even before he joined NXT. He got a little shaping up and being a good talker, he should fare well.

We can't say the same about Heavy Machinery, but Lars Sullivan is obviously a huge prospect, while Lacey Evans has the look and background for the role. Nikki Cross should do fine depending on the direction they take, as they've done nothing since Sanity was called up.

Either way, we expect that these won't be the only faces that you're going to see. In the coming month or two, we may very well see these superstars come up as well.

#5 Velveteen Dream

Rocking Hollywood-themed attire, Velveteen Dream saunters to the ring.

Velveteen Dream may be the single hottest prospect in WWE today. At just 23 years of age, Velveteen Dream (real name: Patrick Clark) has risen the ranks in the WWE developmental system in no time.

Starting off as a competitor on Tough Enough, his WWE journey has seen him realise his potential, and though he may never capture the NXT Championship, bigger things lie in wait for him.

John Cena himself has called Velveteen Dream as "The One" and a superstar who he firmly believes is the future of WWE. He's main roster ready and at such a young age, the sky is the limit.

#4 Street Profits

Street Profits is a fun tag team put together. With Angelo Dawkins floating around without direction, he was paired up with Montez Ford (who we must admit has singles potential in his own right) and the Street Profits were formed.

They have a fun gimmick, being interactive with the audience. Usually, such things help teams stay over, despite their position on the card. Street Profits would make for a good midcard tag team on either brand.

#3 Bianca Belair

Talking about hot prospects, there are few hotter female prospects in WWE than Bianca Belair. This is a superstar who Triple H himself clearly views as a star and she's booked that way in NXT.

We don't want to give out spoilers, but big things do lie ahead for Bianca Belair in the coming month or two. Granted she isn't pushed to the top, she's main roster ready and could make a big splash after the Royal Rumble.

#2 Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane is set to challenge Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Title.

Kairi Sane is one of the best female wrestlers on the planet, period. Unfortunately, her biggest weakness is that she doesn't speak English fluently and we've seen with quite a few Japanese superstars that not speaking good English can affect them and their perception.

The problem that the main roster faces in this regard is that they don't protect the superstars' promo weakness. NXT does this well. They did it with Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka and even Kairi Sane (and they'll likely do the same with Io Shirai).

With that said, she has a great gimmick and is probably the purest babyface in WWE. She can be a great role model for the young female demographic and could even push good merchandise sales.

Kairi Sane's main roster run will either be a hit or flop. It's going to be interesting to see because there are few women on the roster who are of her calibre in the ring.

#1 Aleister Black

Black is victorious!

There's no answer more obvious than the former NXT Champion himself. Aleister Black has been on an absolute tear since joining NXT. He embarked on an undefeated streak and till date, he's only been pinned by Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

He didn't come to WWE with a lot of buzz from his indie run, but he turned out to be somewhat of a hidden gem when he became one of NXT's top babyfaces. He represented the coming of a new crop of superstars in NXT and this led to a major change in NXT, where the quality just continues to increase.

He has a date with Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT title at NXT Takeover: Phoenix on Royal Rumble weekend, but it seems like his time on the yellow brand is done. It's time for him to jump and make a splash on the main roster.

Aleister Black has the potential to be a future World Champion.
