We were on the verge of seeing this scenario become a reality at the 2015 Royal Rumble with Seth Rollins, and now we genuinely want to see what would happen.

Essentially we would have someone with Money in the Bank – say Baron Corbin – only for them to actually end up earning a #1 contender’s match a few months later due to his overwhelming dominance on SmackDown Live.

Corbin bizarrely wins the title, and thus has the championship AND the MITB briefcase in his possession. It would make him feel like an absolute monster, with Mr End of Days claiming that even if he lost the title on a fluke decision he would be able to have an instant rematch. If you want to build up a credible heel, this is the way to do it.
