Edge and Daniel Bryan have faced each other in a singles match before. But there was never a reason to believe that they were fierce rivals at any point during their careers.

Plus, the only time they faced each other in one-on-one action ended in a disqualification. That encounter took place in 2010, and things have changed considerably since then.

Daniel Bryan became one of the top faces of WWE a few years after their match. As the leader of the "YES Movement", he has evolved to a level where he currently puts over underutilized talents on WWE SmackDown. As a matter of fact, Bryan and Edge are both members of WWE's creative team at the moment.
