#5 Brock Lesnar equals Cena's record for Summerslam main-events

Apart from being the match of the night, the main event of Summerslam 2017 also saw Brock Lesnar match John Cena's record for the number of appearances in the main event.

Cena currently has six main event appearances at 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. Before this weekend, Lesnar stood at five, featuring in the main events of 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

For an additional fact, Lesnar made his own record at last year's Summerslam, featuring in the main event three consecutive times, more than any other WWE Superstar.

Lesnar's 2017 appearance puts him on a level pegging to John Cena with six appearances. It's difficult to say whether either man will be given the opportunity to break away from the other, but it's certainly not out of the question.
