The past month has seen Roman Reigns involved in a bizarre storyline involving everyone from Daniel Bryan and Rowan to Samoa Joe and Buddy Murphy.

Prior to WWE SummerSlam this year, Roman Reigns was attacked by a mystery assailant and the storyline took several odd twists and turns on the road to uncover who was behind the attacks on Reigns.

It was initially believed that Daniel Bryan would be revealed as the mystery attacker, but that has not happened, and at one point it looked like a Rowan doppelganger was behind the attack, but confirmation was never actually received.

During his quest to discover the mystery attacker's identity, Roman Reigns has faced Buddy Murphy, and it looks like Reigns might next be set to face Daniel Bryan after Clash of Champions, following his match against Rowan at the PPV on Sunday night.

According to Cagesideseats.com, WWE is still discussing Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns following Clash of Champions, as the site reported the following:

"Despite the angle on SmackDown Live this week, the speculation is still that Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan is the plan at some point in the near future."
