The McMahon-Helmsley Era saw some of the strangest match creations in WWE history, but the pink-slip on a pole match had to be one of the most creative.
The Rock and Mick Foley (Mankind) collided in this match where the winner would get to keep his job if he climbed the pole and grabbed the pink slip.
Mankind played the face throughout the match and refused to accept the help he obviously needed to win, which was his downfall since he went on to lose the match and was fired just after Christmas.
In true WWE fashion though, this firing didn't last very long as The Rock forced the decision to be reversed and Mankind was back on TV around a week later.
