Nostalgia is a recurring factor in WWE on a frequent basis. Edge vs. Triple H could fit the nostalgic category of storylines perfectly if they were to renew their rivalry in modern-day WWE.

Edge was constantly compared to Triple H back in the day. This was before he became a megastar in Vince McMahon's promotion. Both stars often crossed paths when The Game was a part of legendary factions like D-Generation X and Evolution.

If Triple H was to step into the ring against Edge in the current era of WWE, it would be a huge clash for the mainstream audience, given that The Cerebral Assassin was one of Edge's greatest rivals in history.

Triple H hasn't played the role of an antagonist in a while, just like Edge. The Rated-R Superstar did show up on NXT recently, and it is no secret that Triple H has a huge role to play in the Black and Gold brand's success. Could WWE use NXT as the background to put a new spin on Triple H and Edge's rivalry?

The Rated-R Superstar invaded The Game's turf and expressed his wishes to face some stars from NXT. Perhaps the two legends may cross paths once again, and the Black and Gold brand could be highlighted as a result.
