John Cena and AJ Styles perhaps had one of the best-ever matches in modern wrestling back in 2016. When the two of them faced each other at SummerSlam, neither wrestler held anything back. It was as if two magicians met in the ring and wove a story that fans had been wanting to see for a long time.

Cena brought out all the stops. A wrestler who is actually not that well known for his wrestling abilities, John Cena proved everyone wrong in this match as he showed just what he could do in the ring. AJ Styles, called the Shawn Michaels of this generation of wrestlers, was brilliant as always.

However, the most unexpected moment came when the match ended. Where fans were afraid WWE would put Cena over, instead, AJ Styles flew to hit Cena with a Phenomenal Forearm. In a moment that cemented that finishing move in history, Styles then pinned John Cena, and the superstar didn’t kick out. It helped cement AJ Styles as a top wrestler on the roster in his very first year in WWE.

A rematch between the two would be something that every fan wants to watch. WWE would just need to book it and let them do their thing in the ring.
