Pat Patterson, the first-ever Intercontinental Champion in WWE history holds two further notable distinctions when it comes to the title history of WWE.

Patterson was the oldest Hardcore Champion in history, when he defeated Gerald Brisco and also became the oldest 24/7 Champion and oldest champion of any kind in WWE history when he pinned Drake Maverick in the locker room during the Raw Reunion episode of Raw on July 2019.

Patterson surprised Maverick at the door of the locker room as he attempted to make a hasty retreat from the arena after he had pinned previous champion R-Truth earlier in the night.

With the win, Patterson overtook Moolah's record as oldest champion ever in WWE history at a mammoth 78 years of age. This could well be a record that stands for all time.
