This guy is definitely one of the most underrated superstars in the WWE. Zayn used to be immensely popular with the crowd while in NXT, but the creative team has failed to capitalize on his talent.
The former NXT champion had some lackluster feuds with Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Chris Jericho on Raw, before being drafted to the blue brand. Zayn was struggling to succeed on SmackDown!
Live as well, until the big twist came. Sami Zayn helped his old friend Kevin Owens beat Shane McMahon at Hell in a Cell last year, thus turning heel for the first time in his career. This has proven to be a major turning point in his career, and a much-needed one as well. Zayn has been shining on SmackDown! Live ever since.
Right now it is hard to predict what the WWE has in store for Zayn, with Owens and McMahon in the mix. But a fresh feud between Zayn and Rollins after WrestleMania will unquestionably be worth watching. Sami Zayn can easily interrupt Rollins's first promo on SD, thus igniting a feud between the two.
