#2 Cesaro could look to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time
As mentioned previously, Shinsuke Nakamura might defend his title against Apollo Crews at SummerSlam in a rematch. An interesting idea would be to have Nakamura win, following which Cesaro could come out to celebrate with him.
The Swiss Superman could then ask his former tag team partner for a title shot. He has won the United States Championship once and has held the tag team titles on several occasions. However, he is yet to win the Intercontinental title, something he could look to add to his resume by defeating Shinsuke Nakamura.
#1 Adam Cole moves up to the main roster and challenges Shinsuke Nakamura for his Intercontinental Championship
Adam Cole's WWE contract status has been a massive topic of discussion over the last few weeks. His contract is reportedly up after SummerSlam and heavy negotiations are going on between him and WWE for a new contract. Reports suggest that Cole's meeting with Vince McMahon went well and the WWE Chairman wants the former NXT Champion on the main roster.
If all goes well and Adam Cole signs a new contract with WWE, he might move to SmackDown after SummerSlam. What better first feud for him on the Blue brand than against the new Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura?
