Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre had a great match at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship, except the finish. Everyone expected it to come down to RKO vs. Claymore, but surprisingly, it was neither of them as the match ended with Drew McIntyre performing a backslide and rolling Orton up for the pin.

That was not a decisive victory for sure, and knowing Randy Orton, there is a possibility that he might come out again asking for a rematch, calling Drew McIntyre's victory at SummerSlam a fluke. With WWE Payback taking place merely a week after SummerSlam, it is possible that the two could step inside the ring once again for a rematch, this time with some stipulation possibly.

With the brilliant run that Randy Orton is having as a heel currently, many fans want to see him win the WWE Championship once again. And maybe that is the plan, but WWE did not go ahead with it at SummerSlam because they had a massive surprise in the main event already - Bray Wyatt winning the Universal title and Roman Reigns returning.

Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE Payback is a serious possibility. The question is - can Orton do it this time?
