Renee Young has tried her hand at a number of different positions in her time in WWE and made it clear that she wasn't happy on commentary because she didn't feel as though she was in control.
Young has become used to being the person hosting the show which is why she enjoyed being part of WWE Backstage because she was the one in control. The show was sadly canceled by FOX a few months ago and now Young is in a position where she doesn't have a regular role in WWE.

Before Young came to WWE she would host sports shows on The Score and could decide to go back to doing this since it's something she enjoyed.
This would also allow Renee Young to continue to talk about wrestling as she was the regular host of a wrestling show before she was recruited by WWE. Young may see this as a step backward since this was where she started over a decade ago, but if this is where she felt most at home then it's worth it.
