The Shield were one of the most dominant factions in WWE history from the moment the trio debuted at Survivor Series back in 2012, until their untimely demise in June 2014.
Over the past three years, the WWE Universe has waited for Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to be back on the same page so that a reunion could take place.
Finally, this happened on the October 09, 2017, episode of Monday Night Raw as the trio were inserted into a handicap Tables, Ladders And Chairs match at TLC against The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and Braun Strowman.
The Miz has found a fourth member for his team in the form of The Monster Among Men, but who would be a perfect fit for The Shield if they needed a fourth member in the future?

#5 CM Punk
CM Punk walked away from WWE back in 2014 after what was a fantastic feud with The Shield that saw him come out on top in a 3-on-1 handicap match at TLC back in 2013.
And lest we forget, the Hounds of Justice were originally supposed to serve as Punk's bodyguards during his run as WWE Champion in 2012.
It is unknown if the Chicago native will ever return to WWE, but if he did, it would make sense for him to join the group that hands out their own brand of justice since he has his own fair share of problems with many people in WWE right now.
Punk would have been a perfect addition to The Shield back in 2014, and the same can be said for "The Straight Edge" Superstar right now.
#4 Baron Corbin
Because of the way that Baron Corbin dresses and the way that he has been acting on WWE TV over the past few years, it is hard not to argue that Lone Wolf wouldn't be a perfect addition to the group.
The Shield were heel superstars when they made their debut and were looking for justice — the same way that it seems that Corbin is slowly working his way through the SmackDown roster, even though he has recently become United States Champion.
Corbin came through the ranks in NXT just like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and he knows what it's like to be held back by the company or even by some of the top stars in WWE.
If The Shield is back and they are ready to hand out more justice, then look no further than Baron Corbin because it's obvious that he has his own fair share of problems he would like to fix.
#3 Aleister Black
Aleister Black is currently plying his craft down in NXT, as he is slowly becoming one of the standout stars on WWE's developmental brand.
Much like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, Black has paid his dues on the Independent Circuit and was known all over the world before he came to NXT. Black also has the fantastic Black Mass kick as a finisher, which no WWE star has ever kicked out of it.
Black has proven that he is a skilled singles competitor down in NXT, as Seth Rollins did when he became the first ever NXT Champion. However, it was only when Rollins joined The Shield that he was finally able to fulfil his potential, something that Black could easily do as well if he joined the dominant trio.
#4 Samoa Joe
The Samoan Submission Machine is currently out of action with a knee injury and is also "The Right Hand of Destruction" for Triple H, but there is someone else who was once close to The Authority and it seems that this partnership isn't destined to last very long.
Seth Rollins should be a cautionary tale to Samoa Joe that when The Authority decide that you are past your sell-by date, they move on. Rollins was once in Joe's position and he suffered a knee injury too; this was the injury that saw the downfall of "The Future of WWE" until he realised that he could slay the king.
Joe has experience, he has the technical ability and even though he is a heel superstar, he could bring something different to The Shield to help them when they are facing much bigger opponents.
Joe would be the addition to The Shield that would make them unstoppable regardless of which team attempted to stand in their way.
#5 Finn Balor
The inaugural Universal Champion hasn't been at the same level on the main roster as he once was in NXT. It feels like something has been missing from Finn Balor ever since he returned from injury the night after WrestleMania 33.
Balor is one of the most popular stars on the Raw roster, even though it seems that WWE's creative team has no idea what to do with him.
Seth Rollins and Finn Balor already share a move, "The Slingblade" and the duo have shared a ring on a number of occasions, most notably in the main event of last year's SummerSlam.
It would be interesting to see Finn join up with The Shield in the future if they ever needed a fourth member since he seems to have chemistry with all three members when they are put up against each other.
