It's no secret Asuka is no longer the superstar she once was. Suffering losses at the hands of Carmella and Charlotte had cost Asuka her position at the top of the division. However, the reaction she received from the crowd while Becky was choosing her replacement for Survivor Series impressed Vince McMahon, and The Empress is once again back in the title picture.

Becky and Flair have received very strong booking from the creative team, and Asuka currently looks like an outsider in the triple threat match. Having her go over the multi-time women's champion, Charlotte, would not hurt Flair's character, but it would definitely help Asuka become a relevant character once again on WWE TV.
