#2 Referee costs Seth Rollins the championship

What if the referee has something against Seth Rollins?

Maybe he didn't have a problem with Seth before the Hell in a Cell match, but afterward, he had an issue because the Universal Champion blatantly ignored his continued attempts to stop the excessive violence. Because of this, the referee has been getting attacked by fans and just cannot take it anymore. He ends up getting the assignment of being the referee for this match as well. Maybe he says it's because he wants to make up for the misunderstandings. Maybe he wants to show the fans that he understands what happened. Maybe it's a punishment that comes down straight from Vince McMahon himself, and he's terrified of having to be in the ring with Rollins and The Fiend again.

Due to this, the referee could go rogue and cost Seth the match and the title. He could do the classic and stop short on a pinfall just before hitting the mat for a 3 count. Maybe he is slow to get down for Seth's pin attempts and then does a very slow count, all the while is extremely quick to count for Wyatt. It could go on for the whole match or just one big moment that sees him do something that directly affects the ending of the match.

This would become even more plausible if the referee was revealed to be the first new follower of Bray Wyatt, or if there was a special guest referee appointed in order to make sure that there were no mistakes. Mick Foley, for example. One would think that he would have every reason to side with Rollins, but he decides to call it right down the middle until a crucial point in the match -- and then he pulls out a version of Mr. Socko that's dressed up like Ramblin' Rabbit. He does the Mandible Claw, then passes Seth over to The Fiend, who also does the Mandible Claw and Foley then counts the pinfall and there's a new champion.

The reasoning for Foley doing what he did? Admiration for what The Fiend has done and how much it reminds him of a young Mick Foley.
