We are only days away from the first pay-per-view event of 2017. WWE has, despite the odds with injuries and whatnot, stacked a formidable card for the Royal Rumble, this weekend.
One of the marquee matches will see the RAW Tag Team Champions defend their titles against two extremely formidable opponents.Who will triumph when The Bar teams up to reclaim their championships from Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan? Yes, the same unlikely duo who're not on the same page!
We do not know who will emerge victorious, but we can always speculate. Here are 5 ways this exciting match could turn out.
As always, we invite you to participate in the conversation, and let us know who you think will win the match, in the comments!
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#5 The Bar wins the match clean
We believe that this is the least likely scenario of the lot, and so we'll get this one out of the way, up front. Unless you're a 'monster heel', or your opponents are much lower down on the totem pole, the bad guys just don't ever win clean in professional wrestling.
The only way we can see this match ending with The Bar defeating Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins for the Championships without underhanded tactics is if Jason Jordan were to take the pin. It could set Seth Rollins off, and even instigate a program between the two men.
It does not make sense to have The Bar reclaim the Championships from Rollins and Jordan right now, and that's why this option is so low on our list. There are no babyface teams for them to feud against on RAW, at the moment.
Other than Slater and Rhyno or Titus Worldwide of course, but could we buy the idea of them entering the title picture?
#4 The Authors of Pain disrupt the match
The Authors of Pain take on The Undisputed ERA at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, on Royal Rumble weekend. While they could always win the match, we have a feeling that they've overstayed their welcome in NXT. The team would be far better served by moving up to the main roster. They could do the honours for Undisputed ERA Baybay!
The RAW Tag Team Division has a bunch of heel teams, and they would be another addition to the same. True, but their size and physique will be ideal for the main roster, as compared to NXT. Look at how The Revival got buried at RAW 25 because they seem a tad too small for the main roster.
Let's just say that they disrupt proceedings, leading to Rollins and Jordan retaining their Championships. They would be the new monster heel team on the roster, at odds with almost everyone.
Much like Alexa Bliss and Elias, we have a feeling they'll do far better in the main roster than they ever did in NXT.
#3 Jordan accidentally costs his team the match
On the surface, this looks like a very rare scenario. However, if you consider what happened at RAW 25, we believe this is a definite possibility. Remember how Rollins accidentally hit Jason Jordan while the events of the Peep Show unfolded on screen? We have a feeling that Jordan may accidentally hit Rollins at the pay-per-view too.
In doing so, he would end up costing their team the Championship. This could bring about a heel turn for either man. The two men could end up having a program, that lasts many months.
#2 Jason Jordan goes full heel, attacks Seth Rollins
We believe that it's safe to say that Jason Jordan gets the biggest negative reaction on RAW, right now. The heel heat he generates does not only overshadow actual heels themselves but is even greater than the reaction Reigns gets nowadays. Now is the time to turn him into a vicious heel.
And what better stage than the Royal Rumble? Seth Rollins orchestrated the biggest heel turn of the modern era when he turned on The Shield. This time he could be the victim, as Jordan attacks him from behind, causing The Bar to win the big match.
This could be the first step towards Jason Jordan's WrestleMania 34 program. Rumours indicate he could be facing Kurt Angle at the show. We wouldn't mind a clash with Seth Rollins either!
#1 Rollins and Jordan win the big match clean
It's only been a few weeks since Jordan and Rollins became the RAW Tag Team Champions. Maybe it's just too soon to break them up. Maybe they'll put their differences aside for their goal. Maybe they'll stand tall at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, with their championships held high!
The best teams are born out of friction, are they not? Think of Cesaro and Sheamus. Think of Ambrose and Rollins, who did not seem to be on the same page only months ago.
Maybe when Dean Ambrose returns, he could cause this team to dissolve, at long last. Until then, they could be a dominant force in RAW's tag team division.
