Ziggler and Roode snatched a victory from the Heavy Machinery on the go-home show of SmackDown. Tucker and Otis had managed to eliminate four other teams before they were defeated by Ziggler and Roode.

If they go on to win the titles, they will likely be engaged in a feud with Heavy Machinery. Otis and Ziggler are already involved in a feud and the result of tonight’s match can set up a WrestleMania clash between their teams.

Moreover, Ziggler and Roode have mostly been booked as loyal subjects of King Corbin and this win will allow them to re-establish their dominance as a team in contrast to their usual portrayal as the cowardly friends of the ‘King of the Ring’.
