#1 John Morrison turns on The Miz
Earlier this year, John Morrison made his epic return to WWE programming. On the first SmackDown of 2020, the 40-year-old instantly aligned himself with The Miz. A few weeks later, the duo was engaged in a feud with The New Day and since that day, they’ve been on an upward trend. However, given the Superstar that he is, Morrison will eventually outgrow this partnership with The Miz, paving the way for a blockbuster feud between the two.
Planting the seeds or initiating that rivalry at WrestleMania would be the smartest decision. John Morrison didn’t come back to WWE for tag team gold -- he came to be a winner by himself and doesn’t need someone else riding his coat-tails. Picture the scene, after a tremendous performance by the pair, The Miz climbs the ladder to retrieve the gold, but before he can, Morrison drags him down and then performs a split-legged corkscrew moonsault. This would leave The Miz embarrassed and distraught having lost the titles and leave Morrison to pursue the singles title on the Blue brand.
