Monster heel? Cena? Surely not a burial. No. As we've seen recently, Cena puts people over. Here's another, another guy with a LENGTHY future in the business, a feud with Cena will kick-start Joe's main event career.
Joe has been on a roll this year, consistently main eventing the NXT brand against a rotation of top guys. What better way to introduce yourself to the WWE Universe than by taking on the cash cow of sports entertainment. Look at Kevin Owens, he had the most impactful PPV debut in anyone in history, now he's a star.
The feud could be built up through Joe debuting on SDLive at Survivor Series and specifically targeting John Cena, labelling him as the 'bane' of his life throughout his career. Everything Joe did in TNA was either stolen or overshadowed by Cena and he's always wanted to prove that 'Indy' guys could hang with the larger than life characters of WWE.
