#3. Miz's partner: Veer Mahaan
Veer Mahaan's re-debut has been delayed for so long that it's become a joke. Or, at the very least, a meme.
The last time WWE hyped a monster's return to WWE for weeks and weeks, we got this:
A WWE Hall of Famer isn't a John Cena fan. More details HERE
Now, we don't honestly think WWE is going to pull a 180 and turn Veer into "Disco Mahaan" or anything. Please don't yell at us if they actually do that, by the way.
Miz's comment about his potential partner being a "global icon" does actually apply to Mahaan in a way. In fact, it's a pretty cool story.
Veer Mahaan was born Rinku Singh in Gopiganji, India in 1988. Before becoming a WWE Superstar, Singh was the very first Indian to play professional baseball in America.
In fact, the story of his path to baseball was documented - first as part of a reality TV show called The Million Dollar Arm, and then a Disney feature film of the same name, starring Mad Men's Jon Hamm.
Mahaan, along with Million Dollar Arm's runner-up Dinesh Patel, were eventually signed with MLB's Pittsburgh Pirates. While neither man made it past the minor leagues, both their baseball careers were fairly successful. What's more impressive is that, before appearing on the reality show, neither of them had ever actually thrown a baseball before.
That's a background that WWE usually jumps on and one that would technically put him in the realm of a "global icon" (it happens when Disney makes a film about you).
Now, let's take a look at another "global icon" - and the one who most reports are predicting it will be.
