During the match, Goldberg attempted a spear on his legendary opponent, only to be avoided by the Deadman, sending Goldberg into the post, and causing a nasty cut over the former WCW Champion’s head. With WWE being PG, it’s difficult to believe that the company would voluntarily allow this, even if the Saudi Royal Family wanted it.

So if we go under the assumption that Goldberg was busted open the hard way, it’s not too big a stretch to believe that the huge Superstar was disoriented. Maybe the match was meant to go longer, but after the blood, the Deadman took control.
The sooner the match was over the better, and if that meant the Deadman won, so be it.
