It's finally time for the most awaited, Royal Rumble. WWE's first big-four pay-per-view will kickstart the Road to WrestleMania. It will be a historic PPV that will feature the first ever Women's Royal Rumble. another big highlight is the triple threat match between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman and Kane.
Three of the biggest names on the WWE roster will be squaring off to win the Universal Championship. The winner would then go on to defend his title at WrestleMania. In one of the most exciting feuds of recent times, Strowman has been consistently dominating Lesnar and Kane.
However, the results still remain uncertain. Will the "Beast Incarnate" successfully defend his title or will Kane end up lifting the title in a surprising turn of events?
Here are five possibilities for this match's end.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1 Kane takes the pin
You saw this one coming, didn't you? With Brock Lesnar enjoying his decorated status in WWE and Braun Strowman being massively pushed, one episode after another, it is quite obvious that the WWE creatives will prefer booking "The Big Red Machine" to take the pin.
Kane's return to the WWE is expected to be brief with the prime agenda of putting over the "Monster Amongst Men". However, both his opponents have a storyline prepared for them as they will hit the Road to WrestleMania.
Lesnar is expected to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and lose his Championship to "The Big Dog" which in turn would establish the latter as 'The Guy' in WWE.
Strowman, on the other hand, is one of the most popular wrestlers on the main roster. Therefore, if he is the one who takes the pin, it will be harmful to the push that he has been receiving in the past few weeks.
That leaves us with only option, Kane. Thus, Lesnar might retain his Championship after pinning "The Big Red Machine" and begin a story that will lead to his eventual retirement.
#2 Braun Strowman defeats Brock Lesnar and wins the title
Ever since Survivor Series, Braun Strowman has been the red brand's favourite Monster. His character as an indestructible force has dominated the Monday Night RAW week after week. His feud with Kane and Brock Lesnar allowed for some of the best backstage segments in 2017.
Ever since a triple threat match between these three was booked, Strowman has been consistently dominating them. Hence, his win at Royal Rumble might not be that surprising.
Following that, Lesnar can ask for a rematch and win his title back and face Roman Reigns in WrestleMania.
#3 Tripel H causes Braun Strowman the match
The seeds of this feud were planted back at Survivor Series. Triple H's heel turn in the main event left "the Monster Amongst Men" agitated enough. A storyline involving the two w
as anticipated but unfortunately, it came to an abrupt end.
This triple threat match would be the perfect opportunity for WWE to revive that story and bring it to the desired end. That will also allow WWE to set up an incredible segment without having to worry about the changes they would require to make in their WrestleMania plans.
It's a win-win situation. Isn't it?
#4 Paul Heyman causes Lesnar to lose is title
Paul Heyman has been by Lesnar's side since forever. Brought in as a perfect compensation for Lesnar's lack of microphone skills, Heyman is one of the reasons why Lesnar's feuds are not boring.
For years, we have seen him glorifying "The Beast Incarnate". Imagine what it would be like to Lesnar losing his Championship title because of his only constant ally?
Amidst more twists and turns, Heyman might start paving his way to becoming a spokesperson for someone who might need him once Lesnar leaves the promotion. A storyline involving this event might just open doors for new opportunities as it advances towards Fastlane.
#5 Kane becomes the Universal Champion
Well, I know it's unlikely but it isn't impossible. Given how WWE Creatives love surprising their fans every once in a while, this might just add to the most glorious moments of this historic PPV.
Kane is expected to return to his non-WWE commitments son. If he wins the match he can enjoy a short title reign. After all, he would love to avenge his kayfabe brother, The Undertaker's death from the man who put an end to the Deadman's streak.
These are the few ways in which we expect this match to end. Can you think of any other possibility? Sound off in the comments below.
